Fantasy Baseball FAABlog – Week 6


Heath Bell was taken for $244 by Rotowire’s George Kurtz in the BLOG WARS league.

In our weekly FAABlog, we make the results of the free agent bidding from our eXpertLeagues public and offer some words of advice as well. Links to results follow this paragraph of analysis. Bids are out of a $1000 budget for the season, and FAAB is processed twice per week, once at 11 am ET Saturday mornings and once at 11 am Monday mornings.

You have to love it when new closers emerge. Heath Bell ($244 BW, 122 TCM, MW 77 ) and Junichi Tazawa (148 TCM, 77 BW) were the new closers of interest this week. Some mixed league hitters of interest were Marcell Ozuna (71 MW, 33 BW), James Loney (67 BW), and Oswaldo Arcia (TCM 33). Jeremy Guthrie (45 TCM), Hector Santiago (17 MW), and Bud Norris (12 TCM) were mixed league starting pitchers bid on this week. Jamey Carroll $89, Jimmy Paredes $65, and Jeff Baker $34 in the AL and Burke Badenhop $67 and Derek Dietrich $63 in the NL were picked in our mono-leagues.
