Fantasy Baseball FAABlog – Week 3

Brandon Crawford has hit so well lately that RotoRob’s Tim McLeod and Buck Davidson laid out $47 for him in the BLOG WARS league, and RotoProfessor’s Ray Kuhn spent $14 in the Triple Crown Mixed league.

In our weekly FAABlog, we make the results of the free agent bidding from our eXpertLeagues public and offer some words of advice as well. Links to results follow this paragraph of analysis. Bids are out of a $1000 budget for the season, and FAAB is processed twice per week, once at 11 am ET Saturday mornings and once at 11 am Monday mornings.

Edward Mujica was mostly taken in our leagues the week before, as we have that Monday FAAB after our Saturday FAAB, but Big 2 Show’s Joe Pisapia was happy to get him for $57 in MIC WARS this Saturday. He also got Andrew Bailey for $33. Carlos Villanueva (54 MW) and Jose Quintana (14 TCM) are two attractive two-start pitchers this week. Bartolo Colon (65 BW), Patrick Corbin (15 BW, 10 TCM), and Ervin Santana (8 TCM) were other starting pitchers taken this week. Wellington Castillo (17 MW, 6 TCM), Juan Francisco (74 TCM), and Yuniesky Betancourt (7 BW) were some hitters taken this week. The big mono-league bids of the week were placed on Luis Jimenez (110) in the AL and Didi Gregorius (109) in the NL.

Here are links to the actual results:

Use the links above (just change the date in the date box once you get there) to check in right after 11 am ET next Saturday to immediately find out the results of our bidding!
